The Rays of the Sun
Events | posted on 07/13/10 @ 2:45 pmAslag is a Kapampangan term which means the rays of the sun. This is also the name of the new organization known as Theater arts group formed for the Center for the Culture and the Arts of Systems Plus College Foundation.
The goal of this department is to give the school a performer who will justify its name Aslag by showing rays of talent, enlightening and inspiring other students through a radiant performance that is not only seen but also felt.
Formed last January 2010, Aslag has been able to gather talented students who are now going through 5 months intensive training for Theater Arts. This involves lectures about Theater arts, personality development which includes image enhancement sessions, pictorials etc. and the technicalities in singing, dancing and most especially acting. The training is headed by the Mr. Jayson Macasieb, SPCF CCA, Director for Theater & Media Arts in coordination with other recognized professional practitioners in the performing arts industry. This training is to produce a group of students who are capable of performing and delivering quality performance by themselves or together with his/her team.
The Aslag members are aiming to perform in the grand launching of CCA on SPCF’s Jubilee this coming July. In the long run, they will be performing for our school and will also be marketed outside to show and prove that SPCF is capable of producing excellent performers.
