Scholarship and Financial Assistance
In order to promote academic excellence, Systems Plus College Foundation awards scholarship to bright and deserving students.
Applications for scholarship are filed at the Office of the Scholarships and Grants with the approval of the Vice-President for Academic Affairs and endorsement of the respective College Deans.
An applicant may avail of only one (1) type of scholarship at a time. A scholar who initially availed of a self-terminating or a limited grant may apply for another type of scholarship only after lapse of the first grant.
Entrance Scholar
All incoming regular students who meet the following criteria are eligible for scholarship:
- School Valedictorians (100% discount on tuition fees)
This is granted to students who have graduated from a Department of Education recognized school as valedictorians or have received the highest academic award in the secondary level with a graduating class of at least 150 students. This is valid for one (1) school year. - School Salutatorians (50% discount on tuition fees)
This is granted to students who have graduated from a Department of Education recognized school salutatorians or have received the second highest academic award in the secondary level with a graduating class of at least 150 students. This is valid for one (1) school year. - School Honorable Mention (30% discount on tuition fees)
This is granted to students who have graduated from a Department of Education recognized school honorable mention in the secondary level with a graduating class of at least 150 students. This is valid for one (1) school year. - Special Scholarships (variable discount on tuition fees)
This is granted to students who have graduated from a Department of Education recognized school and have scored above 80% on the SPCF Entrance Examination. The rate of the tuition fee discount for these students will depend upon the recommendation of the Office of Student Affairs and Discipline. Special Scholarships are only valid for one (1) semester only.
To maintain the scholarship privilege for the second semester, the grantee must meet the required General Point Average (GPA), with no grade lower than 2.00 in all academic courses and must demonstrate exemplary behavior. The required GPAs and their corresponding discounts are as follows:- 1.25 or above - 100% (on Tuition Fees)
- 1.26 – 1.50 - 50% (on Tuition Fees)
Academic Scholar
A sophomore student who belongs to the top of the class may avail for full or partial scholarship during a regular semester, provided the following criteria are met:
- Residency of at least one (1) school year or two (2) consecutive semesters;
- General Point Average (GPA) not lower than 1.25 and no grade lower than 2.00 in all academic subjects for a 100% tuition fee discount and a GPA not lower than 1.50 and no grade lower than 2.00 in all academic subjects for a 50% tuition fee discount; has not been subjected to any disciplinary action and has shown exemplary behavior; and
- Enrolled in degree program or a two-year course with regular load (including Physical Education and the National Service Training Program)
To avail of this privilege in the immediate succeeding semester, the student must maintain his/her grades and class ranking.
Athletic and Performing Arts Scholar
Systems Plus College Foundation grants discounts to Varsity Players and Performing Arts members.
Athletic Scholarships are based on the players' performance in local, regional and national competitions. For more details, applicant should consult with the Sports Director.
Members of the Performing Arts Troupe get a 60% discount on tuitions fees.
