It was started during the time of Janet Paguio, a former student assistant in the college library of holy angel university who serve as a library custodian. The library ws housed in just one room of the school building. The library holdings then were only 2,775 volumes that served more than one thousand students in the college department. It was open from 8 o'clock in the morning unitl 5 o'clock in the afternoon from monday to saturday.
Realized the very significant role of functional library in every academic community, the adminsitration decided to aim for a new dimension. The library therefore transferred to the second floor of the administration building occupying three (3) rooms.
Eventually, in 1993, CHED recommended to hire a librarian with library science units. Hence Irene B. Madlambayan-Mungcal was hired. A total change in the library structure was introduced and implemented. June 1993, the librarian took series of training and study on the technical aspect of the library operation. Books were now technically processed, assigned call numbers. accessed, catalogued, classified and arranged properly in the book shelves in accordance with the Dewey Decimal classification scheme. Sears list, AACRZ and the cutter table.
It was another milestone in the history of the library, when the administration decided to renovate the entire library, the 3-month construction was indeed a success. A total change in the library was implemented.
July 18, 2003, the newly renovated library inaugurated under the name of the late Andrea Villanueva Jao Library, who happend to be the mother of the Chairman of the Board and owner of Systems Plus College Foundation.
To date, the library holding has reached to 9,535 and still increasing in number because of the administration commitment to establish a functional library that is responsive to the needs of the student and other clientele.
